Important Update: Modified Lawn Watering Restrictions

The Park Ridge Board of Public Utilities is easing the current outdoor watering restrictions following continued improvements in water system conditions. Over the past couple weeks, cooler temperatures, rainfall, and the community's conservation efforts have allowed our water storage tanks to return to normal operating levels. Based on recommendations from our consulting engineers, a limited outdoor watering schedule can now resume while continuing to protect the reliability of our water system.

Beginning Thursday, July 23, 2026, lawn irrigation will be permitted according to the following schedule:

West of the Garden State Parkway (Zone 1, shown in red on the map): Mondays and Thursdays
Between the Garden State Parkway and Pascack Road (both sides of Pascack Road) (Zone 2, shown in blue on the map): Tuesdays and Fridays
East of Pascack Road (Zone 3, shown in green on the map): Wednesdays and Saturdays
No lawn watering is permitted on Sundays.

This three-zone schedule allows the residents to maintain their landscaping and reduces peak water demand. The schedule was developed using hydraulic modeling to help ensure our water storage tanks remain at safe operating levels, particularly during periods of hot weather.

The Board will continue to closely monitor water demand, weather conditions, and system performance. If conditions change, watering restrictions may be modified as necessary to ensure a reliable water supply for all customers.
