Election Information - Bergen County Dropboxes

The NJ November General Election shall be conducted via vote-by-mail ballots, which will be sent to all “Active” registered voters without the need for an application to receive a vote-by-mail ballot. You do not need to submit an application but will received a mail in ballot automatically. Ballots will start going out around October 5th. If you do not receive one you need to call the County Clerk’s office at 201-336-7020 to have a duplicate one mailed to you. These ballots already have prepaid postage on them.

Voting machines are strictly for voters who are blind, physically disabled, or illiterate; all other voters will be given a paper provisional ballot. Any voter wanting to use the voting machine must fill out a Disability Certificate for Assistance. Everyone else will have to fill out a paper provisional ballot, not by machine.

Ballot Drop Boxes will be available 24-hours. Ballots must be in the Drop Box by 8PM on election night. Ballots left after 8PM on election night will be considered late and not counted.
