PKRG-TV is the public access television station for Park Ridge. When the government began licensing cable-tv providers years ago they made it a requirement that each municipality, as part of its cable contract be provided airtime for the purpose of airing locally produced programming.
Since the mid 1980s PKRG-TV has produced a wide variety of shows covering such events as Halloween, the town picnic, sports, parades, emergency services & telethons to mention a few.
PKRG-TV recently upgraded their broadcasting equipment and now have a schedule from 6:00am until almost midnight every day! They have also implemented an on-air bulletin board that is being used to inform the public about community news and emergencies.
The committee meets at 7:30pm on the first Monday of every month in the Community Center. New members are always welcome.
