Councilmember Robert Oppelt


COUNCILMEMBER ROBERT OPPELT 

On January 10th 2012, Councilman Bob Oppelt was unanimously elected to the Park Ridge Boro Council to fill the unexpired term of newly elected Mayor Maguire. Prior to joining the Council, Bob was an active member of the Park Ridge Planning Board for 15 years and served the Board as Vice Chairman. He is also a recent member of the Park Ridge Green Team. Bob's community service also includes being a former Trustee of PRAA as well as serving as manager and coach for baseball, softball and basketball. He also held the position of indoor soccer commissioner. In addition to PRAA, Bob also served on the startup committee for Emergency Management and is a former member of the Juvenile Conference Committee. Prior to moving to Park Ridge, Bob was a member of Bergenfield Fire Rescue and a member of the Tenafly Fire Department.

 

Bob's professional background has been within the international cargo logistics and transportation industry, having held executive level positions in both sales and operations. Currently Bob is employed as National Sales Director for EFreight Group.

 

Bob has been a resident of Park Ridge since 1977. His immediate family includes his wife of 42 years, Randi, his two daughters, Victoria Oppelt Wahler, Jessica Oppelt Pagano and his son Jason. All graduates of Park Ridge Schools. He is also the proud grandfather of Alexa and Anthony Pagano, Morgan and Madison Wahler.
