Councilmember Mike Viola


COUNCILMEMBER MIKE VIOLA

Born in Brooklyn and raised on Long Island, Mike has lived in Park Ridge for 11 years. He has been married to his college sweetheart for 35 years. They have two beautiful daughters. After graduating from Rutgers College of Engineering, Mike worked in research and development. Mike left the engineering field to work for an insurance company and then a consumer products company. He held various positions in sales and management. With his college roommate, he co-founded Parian Jewelers in 1985.

Mike became involved in politics after graduating from college. He has always believed that it is a privilege to serve in governmental bodies. Mike served for two years on the Planning Board prior to getting elected to the Park Ridge Borough Council. 

Mike is liaison to the Pool Commission and serves as Fire Commissioner.  He is the Republican Municipal Chairman and a member of the County Committee.
