Notice of Overnight Water Main Shutoff Valve Repair (9/20/17 to 9/21/17):  Please be advised that a defective water main shutoff valve is being replaced overnight at the corner of Rock and Park Avenue.  Approximately 40 homes on Rock Ave, Park Ave, and Parkview will have water shut off for some time during the overnight period (all affected homes have been notified with hanging doorknob notices).  The work is to begin at 9PM and should be completed by 6AM.

6/5/2017 - Capital Improvements Projects

2017 Road Improvement Project

The project was awarded to D & L Paving. Work is scheduled to commence the week of June 5th, weather permitting.

Milling and paving will begin on the west side of town, residents on the effected streets will be notified prior to the contractor starting on their street.

D & L will notify individual residents on a daily basis as the milling/paving operation directly effects access to their dwelling

It is anticipated that the concrete ADA ramps on Hawthorne Avenue and Park Avenue at Rivervale Road and Broadway at Highland Street will be constructed the week of June 5th as well.

It is estimated that the project will be complete in 4 weeks, weather permitting.

Sulak Lane Recreation Improvements

The project was awarded to MJ D’Arminio. Concrete sidewalks are to be constructed along the Pascack Brook from Park Avenue to the High School path along with a guardrail and chain link fence. In addition the parking lot by the tennis courts will be milled and paved, landscape beds will be added.

Construction is scheduled to begin after June 15th, as weather permits. It is estimated that the project will be complete within 60 days.

ADA Improvements at Borough Hall

Project was awarded to Cifelli and Son. The project is partially funded through a Community Development Block Grant. The project involves the removal of the sidewalk and steps along the west side of Borough Hall and construction of an ADA compliant ramp and handrails. The project is scheduled to commence after Summer Camp ends; on or about July 31st. It is estimated that the project will be completed within 30 days; weather permitting.
