As of Friday, November 14th, the DPW has finished the third pass on the west side. On Monday, November 17th, the loader crew will begin the east side, starting in zone 6. Once the crew completes zone 6, they will continue into zone 7.
In addition to the loader crew, the leaf vacuum crew will begin on Monday working on the east side main roads. Once they finish the main roads, they will assist the loader crew in the zone where they are working. Please note that Rock Ave and Fairview Ave (located in zone 7) are picked up by the leaf vacuum crew along their main road route. These roads experience heavy traffic volume and it is safer for our staff to use to leaf vacuum on these roads. Therefore, it is a possibility that the leaf vacuum crew will be on these roads on Monday.
We expect the volume of leaves to increase over the next few weeks, resulting in longer time to complete each zone. Residents are asked to please be patient during this phase of the operation and understand we are moving as fast as we can to get through each zone.
Please remember that leaves must be placed at the curb for pickup. If they are blocked by cars or behind trees or poles we will not be able to pick them up. In addition, branches cannot be mixed with the leaves.
